The End to a Lovely Week

Well, we had a pretty laid back Friday. Both girls are pretty wiped and we just needed a day to ourselves, somewhat. It started with me taking the girls to IHOP for breakfast....They what the Horton breakfast that has been advertised...Can you believe that they actually stick a lollipop in it? At 8:00 in the a.m......???!!! I removed those babies quick....Jilly kept wanting to get up and run to the bathroom to wash her hands...Sure, when she's touching everything and getting sticky syrup on her, why wouldn't she...Well we made it through breakfast....I was not going to let a little thing ruin what a great week I had...

Then off to the gym and to let the girls have some fun with the other kids. Elizabeth was thrilled because her teacher was there....Its so nice that she really likes her teacher and even though she's had a fun week, she cannot wait to go back to see her and her friends...I am also getting to that point. No matter how much having down time is wonderful, I am a routine type of person.

So we had thought about the beach and to be quite honest, I am starting to feel beat from the week. I know this sounds lazy, but I really did not want to bother packing a bunch of things for 1/2 a day, getting the kids all sandy, getting the van all sandy, etc. So Jillian took about an hour nap after lunch and Elizabeth and I went food shopping. I bought lunches for the week, and all other things I normally get from weekly food shopping. Its nice to be done with that for the weekend....

To end the "fun" part, we spent another 1-1/2 hours in the pool.

Now my personal chef is making me a portabella mushroom burger with some pesto pasta on the side...Mmmmm! I'm blogging early because we have The Biggest Loser and Top Chef to watch tonight....I think I am going to turn off the computer for the night and just be in my own little world with my family.........

Why do you need to watch Top Chef when you have one of your own! LOL! Sounds like a wonderful end to the week
