Bad Day for Jilly

It would of been a normal type of Monday for us, except for the fact that when I picked up Jillian from Preschool today, she had a "bad day". (And she kept saying "Bad Schoolday". From dropoff until I picked her up, she just would not listen....She wouldn't sit for circle time, wouldn't sit to eat her lunch, just refused or cried for me....I know everyday cannot be perfect, but usually if there is a little something, the teachers can turn her around...PLUS, her nose was running something fierce and yes, changing colors. I had bronchitis and a sinus infection 2 weeks ago, and now I think she has something along that same thing...She took an awesome nap during car line for Elizabeth, so I am hoping that tomorrow will be a better day for her....

That's about all I'm going to blog about today.....Have a good evening!!

Lazy Sunday

Well, today was an uneventful day....I woke up this morning, not feeling very well. Something with my stomach, but by 10:00, feeling somewhat better...Its still not 100%, but oh well. I stayed home with Jillian and her cold while George and Elizabeth went church. As soon as Elizabeth walked in the door, I took her for a bike ride in our neighborhood. She is not fond of those upward small hills within our development. She tried and had great speed, but I knew it would hit...LOL! But she road most of the distance we walked and I realized that I did get my exercise in by power walking while I let her pedal fast. Not bad at all....After that, we had lunch as a family, which is always nice on the weekend with the busy schedules and then I helped Elizabeth with some of her homework and took a very short nap. By time I woke up, it was Race Time! I am a dedicated NASCAR watcher and have been for about 4 years already....But I do laundry, cook and whatever else I want to or need to do while it is on. Yes, I can sit there with a book and watch for 4 hours, but with 2 children, that ain't happening here. George is at the Rolling Pin assisting a private party which he was requested to do. He is loved by the staff and people that attend thee classes. He does a lot of Chef Tables, which is a higher end demonstration with a fancier meal. But in any case, he is out for a few hours and I truly do not expect him home until about 9:00....which is good because Jillian is wiped out and after no nap, she'll fall asleep easily....

As an added note, I do see the number of people that are reading this has gone up...So besides Karen and possibly Melodie still, I am going to post pictures from Palm Sunday and Disney with my nieces the other month....(That's if I can figure it out!) If there is anyone that wants me to see their blog, please let me know....

Busy Saturday

Well, I am exhausted and its not even 6:00 yet...I'm sure I will get my 2nd wind....Both girls have been up since 6:00 a.m., Jillian, no nap. Yes, I am happy because I give her an hour, before she falls out. My dear husband is working a Chef's Table at the Rolling Pin tonight and I am looking forward to some quiet time, even if its only an hour or two.

My husband had his bible study this a.m. at 8:00 and when he came home, I made it to the gym. As soon as I came home, both girls are pulling at me, asking me questions, etc...So I took care of one of the questions and made lunch. I really had hoped Jillian would nap, but that did not happen. My husband and I spent some time out in the garage, cleaning and sorting. It seems we are forever doing this. PLUS, I needed to clean out my big freezer....We never did our bike ride and although I would love to take Elizabeth now, with it being just me, Jillian will not let this be an easy task. So I made Elizabeth a promise that immediately after Church tomorrow, we will come home, get changed and go out....just the two of us. She was very understanding and I knew that she was disappointed...but the wonderful thing about children is that they a.) know a change in plans might happen and some children are ok with it. I am fortunately, Elizabeth is ok with it. (Jillian on the other hand, would not be) and b.) now she is looking forward to tomorrow....

Well that is all I am blogging for today....I want to enjoy this low period of the day to the fullest........

Thank God Its Friday

I have always enjoyed Friday afternoon's...When the family is all home and we are getting ready for (hopefully) a fun weekend!!! Jillian had a excellent day in school and we are really on a uphill stride with her....the poor thing was so sick for months and we didn't know what was wrong...Finally, she's doing better....Elizabeth has been battling a cold all week, but its the weekend so she can take it easy. Even after asking her if she needed to stay home, she just would not hear of it. I hope she always enjoys school!!!!

Work has been very busy and I am looking forward to taking a week off during spring break. I know the girls are looking forward to it as well. I have to say, after hearing from two mom's from the group I formally belonged to, I miss being part of such a group as it was....I know that I can request to join again, but once school starts again and I am back working, I cannot make the commitment needed....But it has been bittersweet...........

As for this weekend, I am looking forward to Jillian's Karate class tonight, which she is doing very well with, doing a step class tomorrow, taking Elizabeth for a bike ride and hopefully spending some time with my husband.......We'll see though...

I have seen a number of people have looked at my profile, so thank you! Obviously, you want to keep yourself a secret, and I'm ok with that...:)

First time Blogging

Well, I decided to "bite-the-bullet" so to speak. I have a few friends up North that blog that have subconsciously convinced me to do the same...This can be quite dangerous to me and a fun addiction.

My life can be full of adventure and yet somewhat humdrum....Today though, is quite invigorating. Jillian (my 3 yr old) had a great night of sleep and even though Elizabeth (my 5 yr old) is battling a nasty cold, she does not want to miss school. What more would I expect from my little honor roll child...

I did try to start this last night, but after my step class, dinner, baths and homework, it was just enough time to relax before American Idol....THEN, Karlise, who is someone I know through a mom's group I used to belong to and also who's son goes to the same preschool as my daughter, included me in her email announcing the wonderful news of her newborn daughter. I went on her blog and just read the last 3 or 4, and said why wait...Lets start blogging!!!

I tend to ramble and hope to start posting fun things......I welcome lots of comments, if anyone reads it.....
