Almost The End of The Week
Elizabeth still has the nasty cold, one of the most nastiess (sp?) in a while. I still think everything is draining, but will find out definitely on Monday when I have her recheck.
Went to dinner to Carrabara's tonight with some of my mom friends from Jillian's school. Thank you, George, for taping American Idol. Thank you for DVR's too. I was determined to be good, and well, I was kind of. I had to have my eggplant parm, which is something very difficult to turn down. I had only about 4 pieces of the pasta, so that was not bad at all....
I think I will go to bed now and read...My throat is either just very dry or starting to bother me...So that's about it for now......

Let the Crazy Week Continue......
I tried a quick new recipe I found, I think on AllRecipes. It was pork medallions with a honey balsamic sauce...Well let me just say, I guess All Recipes is not flawless. We even looked over the directions after dinner and it was not good. Sounds like it should be, right....But the honey balsamic sauce was suppose to be a glaze and it was like water...Did nothing to the pork. Oh well, that's why my husband does more of the newer recipes...
Elizabeth has a horrible, horrible runny nose and she's getting that freakin' chapped lip again. ALWAYS....I wish she would blow her nose better and not just wipe...Oy vey!!! Everything is clear and I honestly believe that its either allergies or seriously, her ear's continuing to drain. It would make sense.
I am hoping for a quiet, peaceful evening. We are just finishing Hell's Kitchen and I think I'll just go read...So Good Night everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Typical Monday
I am starting to get behind with my work because wouldn't you know it, I am being asked to do other projects than my "normal" work. Of course, I will not complain...Most jobs will ask you to do other things and I was never a"that's not my job" type of person. Especially when you've been with a company 10 + years....But I did the best I could.
Picked up Jilly from school and the teacher's told me she was in a "crazy" mood. Actually, most of the class was....There must be a full moon rising!!!
Elizabeth's practicing for her recital. Being at the new Dance Studio is proving to be the best thing for Elizabeth. She is learning so much more and making more friends. They are even dancing at the Youkey Theatre in Lakeland. Her recital is the song from Pocohontas....
I am having difficulty with Jillian cooperating with bedtime. She forces herself to stay awake and cries or more like a whinny type voice saying that she's trying (when I know darn well she isn't). She also says that its hard to fall asleep. So here we go again, another phase in Jillian's life. I swear, I should of started a book already.....

Temple Family Day
So this a.m., I gave him a break and wanted to take 2 classes, back-to-back, at the gym. I brought the girls with me and they had a blast at the Kids Club for over 2 hours. Then I promised them BK, which they have not had in ages and I picked up Subway for George and I. I am having that Veggie Delight craving again. Then I took the girls in the pool for about an hour, brushed the pool and set the cleaner up to vacuum the pool. George played outside a bit with them when they came out of the pool..
Now it is my turn to make a FABULOUS dinner. I am making stuffed pork chops with an apple/raisin sauce. With it, we are having roasted veggies. We are planning an early dinner because since this is such a "together" day, we figured we would end it and take the girls to Dairy Queen. I still have $12 worth of gift certificates from Jillian's tonsil surgery around the holidays and $2 from Elizabeth's last year...
(I'll have to try to post a picture of my dinner!) LOL!
Green Bags
Anyway, they are selling the "green bags" and I just asked the bagger if they would bag them or is it the customer's responsibility...He said, no, the customer should not bag and we will bag them...He did look at me oddly, but I explained why I asked...
So my guess is that MAYBE, the discount type of larger stores are not doing it yet....
Ok, later........

Back to Normal
Tonight was Chick-Fil-a Night for Elizabeth's school. Last month I promised her we would go to the next one and wouldn't you know it, she remembered. I have to say that besides not having the stomach to go to Chuckie Cheese EVER, these places I despise with every breathe I take. The kids there can be very rough and no parents watching them. Its almost like there are those parents (not all) that go to these type of places to send the child to play so that they do not need to watch or take care of them. I ended up pointing my finger and raising my voice to another Kindergartner who was pulling Elizabeth through one of those tube things and picking on other girls. I told him "Do not touch or bother any of these girls....Stay away from them and if you do not like what I am saying, get your mother in here". Nothing much happened, but it is just ridiculous...And I've felt this way for a long, long time ever since my first experience at CEC...They are germ infested and just a complete turnoff to me... Sorry, I guess I am bitter..LOL!
I hope I do not offend anyone who might read this...JMO!!!
Tomorrow is our last day of Teacher Appreciation week which will close with a luncheon, mom's watching the classrooms, and the gift cards handed out. All in all, a beautiful week at Limona Village Children's Center....

Update on my little darling
Its funny with our kids during sickness. They are down for the count and once they have that little surge of wellness, they are playful and you wonder why you kept them home....But they wind down pretty quick also.
Today we Indulgence Day at Jillian's school. We had a large success in parents contributing to the child's teacher. It is so nice to see that the teachers are appreciated the way that they should be...But for being a member of the Parent's Association, it has been a little busy...I work with a great team of members of the Association and of course, we cannot forget Limona's families.
I am excited about our 4th and and final Community Project which will be the Brandon Pregnancy Crisis Center....We've done Metropolitian Ministries, a Toy collection for the Hillsborough Child Abuse Center, Packages for the Military and now this one...
I saw Elizabeth's teacher at the gym tonight who reminded me that there are 28 days of school left. (Jillian has less)...Hard to believe that the school year is ending next month and Elizabeth will be going into 1st grade...She's growing up too fast!!!!!

Almost Mid-Week
Well I'm not really in the mood to ramble on this blog about what I've been up to, etc...As we know, it can never be exciting when our kids are sick......

I've been tagged by Andrea.
I have to list 7 weird, unusual, or little known facts about me.
Then I have to tag 7 people - the rules are listed below...so if you are a "tagge" (i.e., someone who's been tagged) please follow them! The Rules:1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.2. Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. So here it goes....
1. I have been a certified lifeguard and worked as a lifeguard for two summer's up in New York.
2. Both of my pregnancies were planned to the T...When we decided we would try, I was very blessed to become pregnant immediately..(For this reason, I had my tubes tied.
3. When I was around 18 or 19, my two girlfriends and I went to the Jersey Shore, Seaside Hgts to be exact, on Memorial Day weekend. We had no reservations and hotel/motel hopped until we found something. As were were doing this, two guys (cute I must add) were doing the same thing. When we finally found a place, there was one room available and decided to all get the room together....(Thought we were lucky that it was 3 of us vs. them). By the way, we had a blast, they were nice guys AND I would NEVER tell my daughters I did this!!!! I will not put a stupid idea like that in their head.
4. Back when Richard Nixon was campaigning for presidency, I met him at Teterboro Airport. From then on, I've always had a crush on him. In fact, I wrote a letter to him when I was younger, asking him to dinner....He never responded....But still, there is some feeling there...LOL!
5. I was on TV during one of Jerry Lewis's Telethon's, answering phones. Again, in Jersey for Channel 9, I met many different stars...I was actually on TV when the host came to my phone....
6. The summer before I got married, my best pals and myself (4 of us) went to Point Pleasant (Jersey Shore) for a girls weekend. I drove down with my good friend April and being beloved Bon Jovi fan's, we stalked his house....I have pic's of it and as the lawnman drove his riding lawnmover, he motioned us to leave, but my friend just waved thinking that was what he was doing.....Next time I'm in Jersey, I would do this again!!!!
7. My mom died when I was 7...My dad chose to separate himself from my sister and I for about 4 years. Unfortunately and fortunately, he suffered a severe heart attack, which brought us all together and hoping for a heart transplant....It was not meant to be and he did not survive...But I was fortunate to have had a relationship, if only for a month, again
Didn't mean to end on that note, but I did...LOL!
I am sending this to:

Busy, Busy, Busy
But one thing I do want to "brag" about is that Elizabeth auditioned with the StageDoor Production Company for the play, Oklahoma, which will performed at Limona Village Chapel and she's in....I am very proud of her and hope that although she's been dancing for 3 yrs, this will help her to continue to come out of her shell. She is a very outgoing girl, but needs to warm up to people or situations she is not familiar with.
This will be a bit time consuming, but thankfully the work will be when school is out for the year. She seems very excited about it....

Back to Normal...or are we???!!!
Elizabeth, for the last 2 days, has gone to extreme (in my opinion) on talking back or just saying no and the inappropriate time. Last night, (she collects all the garbage in her bathroom, her room and under my desk) and brings it to the garage and puts it in the big garbage can. She does this 2x a week, garbage nights. Well when I told her to do it, she said, "no, you do it...I'm too tired". I finally told her that she would not be getting her allowance, which is only 50 cents, but to reward her with something for helping out. Of course, then she did it.
Tonight, my husband and I were cleaning up dinner with the anticipation of the 3 females going to the gym and for me to let the girls play in the Kids Club. My husband asked Elizabeth, "Can you please get Jillian's plate". She turned to him and said "no". No, just like that...We both looked at her and when my husband repeated it, he repeated it at least 3x's with her totally ignoring him. Then I stood up, raised my voice slightly and she did it. We have been having this attitude on and off lately, but in the last 2 days, who does she think she is...So I canceled going and therefore, the girls are not going. The girls enjoy going there, but I do not feel right about letting her go, an hour later, to something that she is thrilled with...
So I guess its back to the good ole' treadmill.......

Back to Reality
But I really am not much into writing tonight, but my husband loves when I post his dinner's on my blog...So here it is...It was pork medallions with a pineapple salsa and sweet potato baked fries...... Yummy!
How sad...I might be doing the cooking tomorrow and might just make a boring meatloaf!!!LOL!

Vacation's Over
Today, Elizabeth and I went to see "Horton Hears A Who" and then lunch at Chili's...It was a perfect ending and my way of rewarding her for a good week, excellent helper and one girl that usually cannot go 7 days in a row without some attitude or our heads butting.
Well tonight, Chef Husband made me a delicious Shrimp dish....He had his over pasta and I had mine over a salad, with a piece of garlic toast...I need to show this professional pic of my "high-end" meal tonight...I just want to add that this meal was not planned....He was going to make something totally different (which I have summoned him to do tomorrow) and we had shrimp in the freezer and the rest is to been seen........
Doesnt' that look absolutely delicious....It was....Yummy! I feel very spoiled right now because my secret guilty pleasure is Coffee Coolatta's (without the whipped cream) from Dunkin' Donuts. Well we found a recipe online which swears to be the original recipe...So there he was, in search of the one major ingredient (besides the coffee of course)....Hazelnut Syrup! So tonight, I will finish my evening off with a Homemade Coffee Coolatta, which I will no longer be able to say its a DD. I'll have to think of a new name for this and just maybe, if I can keep the straw out of my mouth long enough, I'll have one more picture to post!!! Just maybe, I will have to hold a raffle, for charity of course, and raffle my husband off to the winner for a complete 4 or 5 course meal....LOL!

Another Fun Filled Saturday at the Temple's
Today started off with Jilly crawling in our bed about 3:30 in the morning...Literally, she must of been 1/2 asleep because she never said a word. But she did manage to come close to pushing me off the bed and probably kicking my husband in the face...the usual...
My husband had a terribly busy week in work and he decided not to go to his Bible study. He really wanted to mow and clean up outside, and being that tomorrow it is suppose to rain, it really needed to be done. The girls couldn't even swing without the swing slowing down throug the tall, green grass. So in order for him to get anything done, I took the girls to the gym with me and I was in luck because my friend Jae, who usually goes also, brought her son. So they all played with even more kids in the Kids Zone. After that, I just drove through McDonalds for the girls. I was unsure of our plans for the afternoon, which somehow fell through a bit, but just to get their lunch done with, I took the easy route...They hardly have McDonalds anymore, so this was a nice treat.
After I made lunch for my husband I was in desperate need of getting my brows and lip waxed. So I did that, picked up some photo's at Walgreens and how exciting, did laundry. I did take the girls back in the pool, the last time this week with the rain coming, and even though we lathered with lotion, the sun was hot and we needed to come in before we had too much sun. George is again, doing a Chef's Table tonight so its just me and the girls. He'll be home earlier than normal and we'll be able to sit quietly and chat, have a cup of coffee and just relax.
I am hoping that after church tomorrow, I will feel motivated to do one more thing and take Elizabeth to the movies to FINALLY see the Horton movie. I know she wants to go and its been out long enough that it shouldn't be crowded. She wanted to see it when it first came out but I am not the type of person that NEEDS to be at the theater with a new release when it first come out....

The End to a Lovely Week
Then off to the gym and to let the girls have some fun with the other kids. Elizabeth was thrilled because her teacher was there....Its so nice that she really likes her teacher and even though she's had a fun week, she cannot wait to go back to see her and her friends...I am also getting to that point. No matter how much having down time is wonderful, I am a routine type of person.
So we had thought about the beach and to be quite honest, I am starting to feel beat from the week. I know this sounds lazy, but I really did not want to bother packing a bunch of things for 1/2 a day, getting the kids all sandy, getting the van all sandy, etc. So Jillian took about an hour nap after lunch and Elizabeth and I went food shopping. I bought lunches for the week, and all other things I normally get from weekly food shopping. Its nice to be done with that for the weekend....
To end the "fun" part, we spent another 1-1/2 hours in the pool.
Now my personal chef is making me a portabella mushroom burger with some pesto pasta on the side...Mmmmm! I'm blogging early because we have The Biggest Loser and Top Chef to watch tonight....I think I am going to turn off the computer for the night and just be in my own little world with my family.........

The Week is Almost Over :(
Today, her friend from school came over and left around lunchtime...Then the girls and I spent over an hour in the pool...It is so nice not having to follow a schedule or think about doing something by a certain time...In fact, George worked the Rolling Pin and dinner was just hot dogs...Sometimes you need nights like that....The girls went with me to the gym and like the past couple of times, getting Jillian to leave so so hard. She loves doing different things and being with kids...I think the being with kids is very important.
I really do not know how I will handle Monday with both girls back in school, dance, etc. and I top of that, back to work and a pre-meeting for our Parent's Association at Jillian's school. I guess the fun has to end.........

Its Only Wednesday
My day was pretty laid back and what really mattered was that the kids were entertained....We have one more day of entertainment with friends tomorrow and then hopefully out to breakfast on Friday and the beach. The weekend should be pretty laid back also, with a Saturday to myself...George is doing the Rolling Pin, a race is on and then maybe I'll have a late Veggie Subway and I'll be set....But for now, time to go and make sure Jillian doesn't fall asleep!!!

Day One of Vacation
I had a very good day so far. The girls and I went to All Person's for about two hours this morning. It was not that crowded when we arrived and by time we left, maybe 25 kids. Not bad at all, maybe because there was an overcast, but a perfect time to go. As usual, both girls met other kiddies to play with. I had to bribe Jillian to leave (which is the same ole everytime we go to the park), but by time we came in the house, she fell asleep on the couch in about 10 minutes. She was wiped....But I woke her about 45 minutes later so she could eat lunch because I promised a trip in the pool. Elizabeth did say that we could leave her in the house, which is so Elizabeth...but I did tell her that was not nice and we had to wait. Sometimes the things she says...well let me end that here...She's a 5 yr old girl, Miss Independent, blah, blah, blah...
Well the pool was pretty cool for me because of all the rain on Sunday, but we were there and I did it...Had to and I did get used to it. It was nice to come back into a warm house....LOL!
Tonight the girls are looking forward to playing at the "Kids Zone" at the gym. I took both yesterday (Jillian's first time) and thought it would be fun to take both of them again. It gives me a chance to leave little projects for my husband to take care of after work, or just give him some alone time to do as he wishes, computer, etc....
So to sum up my day, if the rest of the day goes A-OK, I would say I have had a suberb day....But I'll check back tomorrow to see if that is how it really ended.....

Can These Really Be My Girls.....
I am a little disappointed because Elizabeth wanted a playdate tomorrow, with this girl from her class and the mom never called me. I kept reminding her to give me her # and she has mine, but no call. I have to be honest...there was something that told me that she was not going to call, but its tough to tell a 5 yr. old that her plan to see her friend fell through. I just told her that her mom might of misplaced our # or something could of came up, blah, blah, blah...I think she's ok with that...
Its no secret that Elizabeth is in a public school. Like last year, she has made a lot of friends in her class. The one thing that is hard to understand is that when she was in PreK, which was a private school, the friends were "closer" or easily accessible. The parents seemed willing and made an effort to get their own children to play with other kids...But this year is so different. Last year, Elizabeth attended 7 birthday parties during the school year. This year, 1 so far and that was a boy she's known since Gymboree. But I'm sure every year will be different and parents are so involved these days with activities of their kids, work or maybe just more cautious about getting to know other families and having their kids play...The last statement is also hard to understand because 5 yr old's still get together with the parent(s) there. Its not a sad situation at all, she still sees 3 or 4 of the children she went to school with last year...plus has her friends from dance and our church choir....
I had made a wonderful dinner being that the girls had no place to be, no car lines, no nothing. We had a roast beef, with homemade rice pilaf, sauteed carrots and a wonderful red wine/shallot sauce. And guess what...I did it not my personal Chef...Yes, I took back my kitchen....

Rain, Rain Go Away
This morning, Jillian decided to wake up at 5:15...for the day...Yes, I said for the day....By time it was 7:30, I decided to make a hot breakfast for everyone before church. We went to the 9:30 service, which is the one Elizabeth really enjoys and the best service for Jillian also. George did not go with us and instead went to the Walkin Doctor's Clinic on 60. He has had a strange cut that is not healing, partially because he picks at it or one of the girls pokes at it. Turns out he is now on a heavy duty antibotic and needs to see a dermotoligist. After he came home, we had lunch, simple Subway...(loving the veggie 6") and basically played with the girls. we did watch the race, which my guy came in 2nd and had a wonderful dinner that my husband made. But I have to say, Jillian was a little handful trying to get to sleep tonight...
Well tomorrow I work, there is no dance or Karate this week, just choir and then Tuesday starts my vacation....I almost feel like vacation starts tomorrow, but one more day......I think I can make it.
This is a boring blog tonight because I just sent out about 6 emails and I'm feeling like I am on computer overload...So I will end this before I just ramble...Good Night!!!

Summer Has Hit the Temple's
Of course I needed to go in there with them and I felt like a chicken...It still had a chill in it, but after about 15 minutes, I was doing laps and it felt so good....Just in time for the girls and myself being off from school and work.
On another note, Elizabeth went to the gym with me last night and then we hit Kohl's and the mall. She enjoyed herself having some "girl time" and coming home at 9:00. That is a very, very rare occasion because I can be a stickler with bedtime and I really do not budge. But the past few weekends, I did let Elizabeth stay up with my while George was assisting at the RP and even though she'll be 6 next month (which is still young) I need to separate what "privileges" she has at her age from Jillian's age. I have to say, I had a ball with her yesterday.....Of course by time we were back in the car and driving home, she did get a bit whiney....But I'll have to do this once or twice a month....
Today we headed back to the mall with Jillian because Jillian really needed sandals. She always gets stuck with Elizabeth's hand-me-downs, which is not a bad thing.....but it seems that there are certain things that either Elizabeth wore badly that I threw out, or that possibly we skipped a size with Elizabeth that we need for Jilly. (A little of both, I'm sure). Anyway, Penny's had a great sale on shoe's and I was able to get a beautiful pair of sandals for Jilly along with a pair of Skechers for Elizabeth. She had wanted a pair which I was going to wait for her birthday, but with the sale and a very limited amount of sandals for her age/size, I caved in. I have to say, I love them too....Here are pics of both....

ONE MORE DAY TILL THE WEEKEND
Today was a productive day all-in-all....I did lots of laundry, some cleaning and really caught up on my work. Yes, for those reading, I am still working at home full-time. George had to assist a class tonight, so part of my challenge was keeping Jillian awake, even at 5:30, when she was ready to sleep....But I did it.....
Elizabeth received another citizenship award and this time, a certificate. She was also feature on the "morning show" at her schoool. She's a little star in the making....

Productive Wednesday
I have a terribly sore neck due to weights on Tuesday night, but I put in a solid, full day with work and still able to take care of day-to-day household/family things...But I honestly must say, Friday cannot come too soon....SPRING BREAK.....This household is in need of a break, no schedules, relaxed bedtimes, just a "spur-of-the-moment" week....not to mention a week's vacation for me....
Something funny was sending a message on my "myspace" page announcing that I was pregnant....It was the perfect April Fool's Joke!!! I had my tubes tied after Jillian and although there is a 1% - 2% chance of getting pregnant, I have not nor to I intend to fall in that percentage!!! But I finally did fool a few of my friends up north....LOL!!!
Oh well, not much else exciting...Just need to finish watching American Idol and then get things ready for the a.m....Good Night!!!!

Tuesday with the Temples
Elizabeth went with me to the gym today and played in their Kids area....She had a blast and felt like such a big girl, staying out until almost 8:00. I've been so stuck with an early bedtime, even if she is awake for a little bit....I believe a 5 yr old needs a certain amount of sleep, but I also need to let her stay up a little longer than 7:15....As long as she's not tired the next day and can get up for school.
I want to thank all of the woman that have commented on my blogs...Its nice to be in touch again! Hope to read your blogs soon!!!
